The management team of The Michelangelo Experience has extensive experience in exhibition design and development, fine art curating, and media distribution.

David Newren | Founder & Co-Chairman

Mr. Newren is the Founder of The Michelangelo Experience.  He has pioneered business ventures across a diverse business spectrum.  Specifically, he has realized success in the areas of real estate, telecommunications, and construction.  In 1991, he left those realms for his true passion — the art world.  He became Director of Gallery One in San Diego, a gallery that featured artists who supported educational programs for artists and the homeless.

In 1996 he began devoting his time to education and training in alternative healing modalities in New York City and Sacramento, CA until 2001.  It was then that the genesis for this current endeavor occurred.  In founding New Renaissance Art, he entered the realm of licensing the casting of original edition bronze sculptures beginning with a Vatican license for the production of a bust of the Madonna from Michelangelo’s Pieta.  In 2006 this endeavor expanded with the granting of the rights to New Renaissance Art from Galleria Hecht S.A. for an exclusive contract for the casting of many major Renaissance sculptures, including pieces by Ghiberti, Bernini, Giambologna, Verrocchio, Cellini, Donatello, Michelangelo and others.  From these agreements he has generated more than $12 million in the sales of limited editions of these posthumously cast bronzes.

With the sculpture productions in place, Mr. Newren began developing the plan for The Michelangelo Experience Tour, of which this offering is the culmination.
